In a shocking incident that occurred in Rampur Behra locality of this city, Kamla, 13-year-old girl was brutally hacked by Sharda Prasad, 50, when she witnessed his filthy sexual acts. Kamala had seen Parsed and another married woman in a naked embrace with the woman kissing his genitals. Kamla saw the two through a window, which the couple had left unbolted.

When Prasad saw her, he brought her inside and advised her not to disclose the matter to the people. But the girl retorted by saying that she would definitely expose their dirty acts in the neighbourhood. The young woman who was having illicit relation offered her sweets but she refused. Thereupon the generally mild and soft-spoken Sharda Prasad lost his temper and he took up a "banka" (axe) and threatened the teenager with dire consequences. But the teenager refused to show any sign of fear.

In a mad show of force, Sharda Prasad hacked the hands and feet of the girl with the "banka".

Hearing the shrieks of the mutilated girl, people from the neighbourhood soon gathered at the house where the act was committed. Sharda Prasad ran for his life towards an orchard as armed men wielding rods and guns gave him a hot chase

Fearing that he would be submitted to torture if caught by the people or the police, the fugitive hung himself from a tree.
