The soccer ace admits the betrayals have ruined a number of friendships and almost destroyed his marriage to former pop star wife Victoria.
"I don't like being like that. But I've been made into that person because there's been so many people who've sold lies. It's nearly killed all of us - our whole family," the Contactmusic quoted Beckham as saying.
Last year, David was photographed kissing a fan on the cheek outside Real Madrid's training ground, after signing his autograph. But Beckham, 31, insists he was merely giving her the traditional Spanish greeting of a kiss on both cheeks. He says, "They're very touchy feely. That was one of the problems with the story where the girl was getting my autograph because in Spain it's rude if you don't do two kisses."
