Will Hrithik be lucky for Zoya?

Javed Akhtar's daughter, Zoya, has signed Hrithik Roshan for her debut film.

Farhan Akhtar's younger sister Zoya has decided to put Luck By Chance on the backburner and scripted a new film with Hrithik Roshan in the lead.

"Not that I am not making it. I am definitely going to pull it out at some point. But not right now. I have written another script, which I am now going to make with Hrithik Roshan in the lead. Since the film gets going only in October 2006 I have a lot of time to prep it up."

Zoya's brother Farhan and his friend Ritesh Sidhwani will produce this untitled film.

Says Zoya: "All I can say at this point of time is, this film will be nothing like Luck By Chance. I am happy to work with Hrithik. My brother had a great time working with him in Lakshya. I am sure I will too."

Zoya is Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani's second child. She decided to turn director last year with Luck By Chance, a script that took a satirical swipe at the quirks and aberrations of the film industry. The ever indecisive Saif Ali Khan gave his nod to the unusual film and then backed out, leaving the coast clear for a total recasting that included Tabu.
