Woman found hanging in DLF guest house, companion missing

A body of a 26-year-old woman was found hanging from a ceiling fan at a guest house in DLF City Phase 2 on Tuesday.

According to police, the woman, Prachi Sharma, had checked in the guest hose on Monday night at 11:15 pm with a male friend who hails from Bharatpur, Uttar Pradesh.

“The deceased has been identified as Prachi Sharma. She gave a wrong address of Delhi’s Sonia Vihar at the time of checking in the room. The man who accompanied her has been identified as Rajender Singh who works as a marketing manager with a magazine,” a police officer told Hindustan Times.

The guest house manager said the woman’s companion left the room at 2:30 am and the booking was done only till morning.

“When we knocked the door in the morning, no one responded. So we opened the door with a duplicate key and saw the body hanging," the manager said.
