The shocking incident, which took place in Pariyaval village in Aligarh district, was kept under wraps for nearly a week. It came to light on Thursday when the woman’s kin finally mustered enough courage to talk to the media about it.
The Station House Officer of Madrak police station Sher Bahadur Singh has been suspended for inaction in the case. According to reports, a youth, Sanju and a girl Neetu were found in a comprising position in an field in Pariyaval. When the couple was discovered and a brouhaha raised over the issue, Neetu’s kin accused Sanju of having molested Neetu.
While Neetu belongs to dominant Lodh community, Sanju is from the Baghel community.
The two families got into a brawl. Sanju’s mother, Pushpa, while defending her son claimed that if Sanju could be held responsible, why was Neetu spared. This enraged Neetu’s family and they allegedly beat Pushpa, causing internal injuries. They allegedly paraded her naked after tearing off her clothes.
