Woman patient dies due to lack of oxygen

Another case of negligence was reported at the SSKM Hospital on Wednesday, when a woman patient died allegedly due to lack of oxygen.
Jinnat Bibi, 50, had met with a road accident on Tuesday on the outskirts of Kolkata.
On Wednesday at around 8.30am the patient's relatives complained to the nurses there wasn't enough oxygen in the cylinder she was put on, and as a result she was having difficulty in breathing. The relatives said even after repeated complains, there was no response.
The nurses came after half an hour but by then the patient had died.
Dr Prabhas Chakra-borty, superintendent of the SSKM, said, " I have not yet received any official complaint."
