Bharatiya Janata Party leader Yashwant Sinha, who is lodged in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh Jail, injured his head as he fell off a chair on Friday. Doctors have advised Sinha to undergo a CT scan.

Sinha and 51 other BJP workers were earlier sent to 14 days’ judicial custody when they refused to seek bail for the alleged assault of a manager from the Jharkhand State Electricity Board.

They were arrested on Monday after angry party workers stormed the power board office while protesting the irregular power supply in the state and the prolonged power-cuts. They allegedly held the manager hostage and tied him to his chair.
