Sinha and 51 other BJP workers were earlier sent to 14 days’ judicial custody when they refused to seek bail for the alleged assault of a manager from the Jharkhand State Electricity Board.

They were arrested on Monday after angry party workers stormed the power board office while protesting the irregular power supply in the state and the prolonged power-cuts. They allegedly held the manager hostage and tied him to his chair.
