Yogi launches 2nd phase of stir

KICKING OFF the second phase of the agitation against the misrule of State Government, BJP MP Yogi Adityanath and the members of the Bharatiya Janata Party Education Cell (BJPEC) staged a dharna at the district magistrate’s office, demanding interrupted power supply and improvement in law and order.

Expressing his views, BJPEC state president Vibhrat Chand Kaushik criticised the statement of the Samajwadi Party (SP) on the foundation stone ceremony of the slaughterhouse in the district. He said that the people wanted the reality of the programme of Urban Development Minister.

BJP city unit president Radheshyam Srivastav said that State Government was trying to divert the attention of the people from its failure in providing basic amenities to the people, and the slaughterhouse issue was raised by Urban Development Minister after a deep-rooted and well-planned conspiracy.

District unit president of the party Harish Chand Pandey criticised the Mulayam Singh Yadav-led government for ignoring eastern UP. He said that Uttar Pradesh was transforming into Bharasttam Pradesh.

BJP members said that it was a matter of shame for the people of the city that 51 cases were registered against the district magistrate in food grain scam during his tenure at CDO in Ballia. Former BJP MP Raj Narain Pasi, RD Singh, Yogesh Pratap Singh and others said that the administration was ignoring the instruction of Air Force authorities and issuing licence of slaughtering the animals in the area.

In a seven-point memorandum handed over to the district magistrate forwarded to the Governor, they demanded appointment of professors and lecturers at BRD Medical College and doctors at the district hospital.
