Your article on Naxals lacks depth

The article on Maoists by Manoj Joshi lacks understanding of the red resurgence in India. It is not just enough to quote police statistics and perceptions borrowed from the unimaginative and corrupt law enforcers. I would suggest Joshi visits some of the affected areas and understand why it is so difficult for the police to remove the "bacteria". One wonders if anything is wrong with our democracy that it is producing so many rebels.

The article on Maoists by Manoj Joshi lacks depth and understanding of the problem of the red resurgence in India. It is not just enough to quote police statistics and perceptions borrowed from the unimaginative and corrupt law enforcers. I would suggest Joshi visits some of the affected Naxalite areas and understand why it is so difficult for the police to remove the "bacteria". It is a stupid analogy although. One wonders if anything is going wrong with our democratic system that it is producing so many different forms of rebels.
