According to information, acting on suspicion the Railway police questioned two youths at platform number 5 of the railway station yesterday, where they were waiting for the Indore-Mumbai special train.

When the youths opened their suitcase and baggage, the police found a large number of gold ornaments and cash in them. Police said the ornaments weighed about 13 kg.

On interrogation, the youths - identified as Vikram Singh and Amar Singh of Jhaveri Bazaar - said that they were employees of Shilpa Ornaments in Mumbai and had came to the City to sell gold ornaments.

They said they could not make any deal and were going back. However, they failed to produce any bills pertaining to the ornaments.

Meanwhile, income tax authorities are also verifying the information provided by the duo. The department is verifying whether the amount involved was accounted for or unaccounted, to proceed further in the case.

The police are further interrogating the duo.
