Zaheera shifted to Nasik jail

Zaheera was sentenced to 1-yr RI for contempt of court by SC.

Zaheera Sheikh, sentenced to a year's rigorous imprisonment for contempt of court by the Supreme Court, has been brought to Nasik from Mumbai and kept in a women's cell of the Central Jail.

The witness-turned-accused in the Best Bakery case, who was also sentenced to three months in jail for perjury in the case by a Mumbai sessions court, was brought to Nasik Road Central Jail on on June 14, acting jail superintendent SV Khatavkar said on Monday.

"She has been kept in the women's cell of the jail," he said adding that Zaheera was cooperating with the jail authorities while serving the sentence.
