Zicom security products launched
ZICOM ELECTRONIC Security Systems launched its consumer service division products in Indore today. Addressing press persons here today, Company chief executive officer Santonu Choudhary said that the ZICOMhome and ZICOMbusiness products would cater to safety and security needs of customers by sounding alarm in case of burglary, gas leakage and intrusions. Choudhary revealed that the company had plans to roll out 200 retail outlets in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa this year.

According to Choudhary this system can curb criminal activities and theft. The basic home security system has a main panel that acts as the brain of the system and connects to the central station at Mumbai via the local receiver in the City. Company general manager (West) Hemant Chaturvedi said that this wireless system informs the station about intrusion or burglary within 31 seconds. It has remote control to switch the device on and off.
The remote controls have panic buttons to call for help by informing the station. The system covers a radius of 72 feet for one instrument.
The system could be connected to 16 instruments in the house. It has got gas leak sensors also. The basic system comes in two other models with black and white hands-free video door phone and colour video door phone. These phones display the picture of a person knocking on the door and restrict entry to the house. This system has been launched in India for the first time.
The systems have eight-hour battery back up and one-year warranty and replacement with after-sales service. The basic system is priced at Rs 6,495, black and white at Rs 12,995 and coloured at Rs 22,495. All systems come with burglary insurance of Rs 1 lakh, Rs 2 lakh and Rs 3 lakh respectively.
The company currently has one retail outlet and service centre in Indore. Zicom Electronic Security Systems Limited had a turnover of Rs 100 crore in the last financial year. The company aims at a turnover of Rs 4 crore from Indore within one year.
