Cast: Sanjay Dutt, John Abraham, Celina Jaitley, Lara Dutta, Mahesh Manjrekar Director: Sanjay Gupta
Storyline: Balajeet Roy (Sanjay Dutt) is your regular man seeking a good life, a great future and a beautiful life partner. Life is beautiful and he is a satisfied man after he marries the lovely Nisha (Celina Jaitley). The two set out to start a new life with dreams of happiness in their eyes in Bangkok. Soon Nisha discovers that she is pregnant and is eagerly waiting to share the news with her husband. When life takes a bizarre turn...
Balajeet wakes up in the morning, only to find himself locked in a dark, dingy room. He is baffled. A dozen questions race through his mind? How did he get here? Where have his familiar surroundings disappeared? Where is Nisha? Does she know about what has happened to him? Has he really been locked up in a place unknown or is his mind playing tricks on him?
Nisha is equally stunned. Overnight, her world has slipped out of her hands and understanding. Their family, the child she is expecting, the new joys she was waiting to share with her husband - nothing remains now. Her husband has disappeared - where, how, for how long, will he ever return - there are no answers to these questions, only a bewildering uncertainty.
For Balajeet, in that dark room, mysteriously someone has provided a television, giving him his only contact with the outside world. Balajeet spends his whole time watching the television - his only help to understanding how or who has changed his entire life. He is teetering on the edge of insanity, and only the thought of revenge on those who spoilt his life keeps him going, as he utilises the time turning himself into a kind of a machine ready to destroy his enemies.
One day, as suddenly, as he had found himself locked inside that room, he is set free - after 14 years. Balajeet is puzzled. He spends the next four days trawling the streets and waterways of Bangkok, hoping for a clue to his captivity and freedom after 14 years, and things start falling in place. His release, he finds out, is part of a devious plan, being engineered by a mastermind.
New characters come into his life - Rohit Chopra (John Abraham), Joy Fernandes (Mahesh Manjrekar) and a seductress Jenny (Lara Dutta). Do these people hold a clue to the lost and unexplained 14 years of his life?
The thriller holds the key...

Zinda is based on Park Chanwook's Korean superhit, Oldboy.
Despite being a songless film, Zinda's soundtrack is already a rage. The title track, Zinda hoon main (Shibani Kashyap), is a charttopper. The video has Lara Dutta dancing on a set made of six lakh glass pieces.
Sanjay Dutt and John Abraham have jammed with the Pakistani band Strings for the song, Yeh hai meri kahani. The video of the song is creating quite a buzz.
