The dalits demanded action against the accused and said they should be booked under relevant sections of IPC and IT Act. Senior police officials reached the spot to pacify the dalits. Later, police registered a case under sections of IT Act and investigation has been started.

According to the protestors, they are enraged by the comments made on the post by some people on social networking websites.

"We have registered a case against unidentified persons under the IT Act. The cyber cell will investigate the case. A similar case regarding this issue has been registered in Maharashtra against unidentified persons as the Facebook post originated from there," said CSP Annapurna, AH Ghuraiya.
