Tension in Indore after demolition of religious structure

Tension erupted in Indore when some illegal encroachers razed a religious structure on Tuesday. As soon as the information reached a Hindu organisation, they rushed to the spot and nabbed four people.

Tension erupted in Pink City area of Ring Road in Indore when some illegal encroachers razed a religious structure on Tuesday. As soon as the information reached a Hindu organisation, they rushed to the spot, nabbed four people and handed them over to the police.

The police said a country-made pistol has been recovered from the accused and investigation in on.

Members of the Hindu organisation gheraoed the police station to protest against the incident but were pacified by senior police officials.

According to the police, the religious structure built on a plot of land, was razed by some people. Police have registered a case against six people in this regard and are retrieving criminal records of the accused.

The police said the land is owned by one Nitin Chauhan who had purchased it from Kala Bai. Cops will quiz the duo in this regard. The JCB which was used in bulldozing the structure was brought to the police station and the driver was also quizzed.
