IPL 2017, DD vs GL: Sanju Samson continues good form, blasts 24-ball fifty

Sanju Samson continued his magnificent form in the 2017 Indian Premier League as he slammed a 24-ball fifty to guide Delhi Daredevils to their fourth win of the season.

Samson, who became the first batsman in the 2017 IPL to smash a century during the game against Rising Pune Supergiant, continued to perform consistently at the top of the order. He got going in fine style by swatting a short ball from Pradeep Sangwan into the stands at deep mid wicket and he went one better when he flicked Basil Tampi over deep backward square leg for his second six. The Kerala right-hander continued to deal only with sixes as he heaved Suresh Raina over deep mid wicket for his third six but he tore legspinner Ankit Soni apart with two sixes over deep square leg and straight down the ground. The sixes continued to rain at the Feroz Shah Kotla and he brought up his seventh fifty in style with two consecutive sixes off Ravindra Jadeja.

Samson was finally dismissed on 61 by Jadeja.
