KL Rahul, down with a shoulder injury, will be out of action for five weeks and may even opt for surgery, according to a report. Rahul is one of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) batting mainstays in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017.
KL Rahul is most likely to miss the upcoming 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) due to a shoulder injury, according to a report. He suffered the injury during the recently concluded India-Australia Border-Gavaskar Trophy and may be out for five weeks.

He might also travel to London for surgery, a report in ESPNCricinfo added. Rahul suffered the injury during the first India-Australia Test in Pune, and had said during the rest of the series how it prevented him from playing several strokes.
Rahul’s injury comes after Royal Challengers captain Virat Kohli also hinted that he might be out for ‘few weeks’ due to a shoulder injury he suffered during the third Test in Ranchi.
The IPL 2017 is starting on April 5, with a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Rahul has been one of the most in-form batsmen for India, scoring six half-centuries in the four-Test series against Australia.
