Lonely wolf falls for dog ‘at first sight’, now they’re a ‘couple’

Though their story started two years back, netizens were recently reminded of this ‘couple’ when a video was posted by PearVideo on Facebook on May 6.

It’s often said that love comes from the most unexpected places. In a surprising way, this saying came true for a wolf. In 2017, a zoo in China decided to ‘setup’ a lonely wolf with a puppy. The duo fell in “love at first sight”, as stated by their caretakers. A zoo manager further explained they share a “very loving relationship”.

Daily Mail reports, in 2014 the wolf got injured in a fight. After that, it was removed from the pack and housed separately. Since wolves are social animals, the isolation made it depressed. The poor animal wouldn’t drink or eat. That is when the zoo authorities decided to introduce him with two puppies. He bonded with one of them instantly. Since then, they are together.

The video is a compilation of different clips. It starts with the duo running inside the enclosure. A few seconds into the video, we see an old footage of the wolf playing with the dog when it was a puppy.

A manager at the zoo revealed that the wolf loves to ‘spoil his girlfriend’. Apparently, he always lets her eat first during the feeding time. How adorable!
