He demanded the government to give a compensation 5 lakh along with a government job for each of the family of the deceased and also compensation for injured cattle.

People have been facing water shortage and power outage even four days after the storm. The government should bring in relief and rescue teams to restore power and water in the storm-hit areas, Pilot said.

People of the state have decided to root out the present BJP led state government in the upcoming assembly election this year. Although BJP may decide to change ministers and state president, it should be ready to face defeat, Pilot said.

He met deceased Billa Devi’s family in Pratap colony who died in the storm. Pilot also met affected families in Dholpur.

State Congress senior vice president Vishvendra Singh blamed power department officials to have failed to restore electricity. Water resource department should provide water free of cost as many people cannot afford to buy it, he said.

“Who will be responsible if people take to streets to express their anger? Officials still have no plan to address this pressing concern,” Singh said.
