Raje government gets Shah pat
Appreciating the state’s flagship schemes, such as Bhamashah, Jal Swalambhan Yojna and Nyay Aapke Dwar, he said, “Narendra Modi government at the Centre and Raje’s in Rajasthan together are working as growth engines for the country.”
The Rajasthan government led by Vasundhara Raje is doing good work, BJP national president Amit Shah said on Saturday, ending speculations on a change of guard in the state.

Appreciating the state’s flagship schemes, such as Bhamashah, Jal Swalambhan Yojna and Nyay Aapke Dwar, he said, “Narendra Modi government at the Centre and Raje’s in Rajasthan together are working as growth engines for the country.”
Addressing newspersons at the BJP office here, Shah said, “On the basis of the feedback received after meetings so far, I can say that in coming three-four months, we will strengthen the party organisation and make it ‘ajay’ (invincible).”
Affirming the party’s stand on Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, he said the temple should be constructed in a legal manner and after having dialogues. “We have made our stand clear in our manifestos.”
On barring reservation benefits to the creamy layer among SCs/STs, he said, “This can be done only after discussion with all parties.
Praising the NDA government led by Modi, he said the opposition was not able to level a single corruption charge against the BJP in three years after coming to power.
The previous government was known for scams, he said. “Ours is a decisive and transparent government because of which India has become the fastest growing economy today.”
He said Modi has emerged as the most popular leader after independence and the mandate given to the BJP in elections shows that people are appreciating the party’s work.
“Today the situation is that 60% of India’s geographic area and around 55% population of the country are ruled by the BJP. We have 13 chief ministers, 1387 MLAs and 330 MPs,” he said.
The dream of ‘one country, one tax’ has been realised with the rollout of GST (goods and services tax), Shah said. “In a year, there has been growth in direct and indirect taxes by around 18%, which is highest after independence; 51 lakh new PAN cards have been made; and 104 satellites were launched,” he said.
“Demonetisation is giving good results; 2.5 crore rural families have been given gas connections; 28.56 crore bank accounts -- 2 crore in Rajasthan -- were opened under Jan Dhan Yojana; 7.64 crore unemployed youths have got self-employment; and Rs 4 lakh crore loan was allocated – in Rajasthan 26 lakh youths were given loan of Rs 15712 crore.”
In last three years, the Centre has given Rs 1,49,211 crore grant to Rajasthan, which is more than what was allotted during the UPA government, Shah said.
