Three-day state mourning in Rajasthan

The Rajasthan Cabinet today mourned the death of former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, who passed away today morning at SMS hospital in Jaipur.
At an emergency cabinet meeting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief and deep condolence on the death of the 87-year-old leader and declared a three-day state mourning.
The tri-colour will remain lowered at half mast during this period as the mark of respect to the departed soul, a government official said.
Shekhawat's funeral will take place tomorrow with full state honours, he added.
