Withdraw cases against Gujjars: Sachin

Congress MP from Dausa lok sabha constituency Sachin Pilot urged the Rajasthan government on Tuesday to withdraw the false cases registered against the innocent persons of Gujjar community otherwise it would face the dire consequences in future.
Lashing out at the police for committing the excesses on the Gujjars in different districts in the state, Sachin said that he had toured various districts and witnessed the raze, anger and frustration on the faces of the community people which would not be tolerated at any cost.
Congress MP was speaking at Pipalkheda in district Dausa on the occasion of the distribution of the relief fund to those Gujjar families which lost their members during the agitation to ensure the inclusion of the community in the ST category.
The gujjar movement was started from this spot on May 29 and 24 persons were killed during the agitation.
Pilot said “a meagre amount has been collected from different states which can not be a substitute to the losses of the lives suffered by the affected families but it is an gesture aimed at doing something to share their sorrows .”
Sachin requested chief minister vasundhara raje to take an effective measures to check the terror let loose on the gujjar community due to vengeance which has forced the men to flee to safer places leaving the women behind in the villages.
Dwelling upon the demand of the community, Pilot said that we would continue our struggle till the inclusion of the community in ST category and peaceful methodology would be adopted.
“ let us put violence behind us and work for our goal. Gujjars have got no ill-will against other communities including Meenas ,” he said.
Congress MP disclosed that it was our democratic right to demand ST status and everyone would relentlessly work for it.
Late rajesh pilot’s wife Rama pilot said that we should get united and fight for our cause which was genuine and justified.
She said “everyone must work for the healing of the wounds and prepare for the struggle to achieve the target to get ST status.”
Rama pilot and her son sachin gave the cheques of 3.75 lakh each to the kins of six families who lost their lives during the agitation. The injured family got cheque of Rs 25,000 each and a person with minor injury was given Rs 10,000.The money was donated by various persons from Delhi,Haryana,Uttar Pradesh,Rajasthan etc.
The cheques would be handed over to the reaming 18 families by Sachin and his mother at their respective houses.
