Fire at a multi-storey building in Kolkata
Fire broke at a basement of a multi-storey building close to Howrah Bridge this morning but there were no reports of any casualty or injury.

Fire broke at a basement of a multi-storey building close to Howrah Bridge this morning but there were no reports of any casualty or injury.
Ten fire tenders were rushed to the six-storey building on 40 Strand Road, fire services officials said, adding the situation is now under control.
However, smoke continues to billow out but firemen said it would take some time before the smoke is cleared.
Mayor of Kolkata Sovan Chatterjee visited the site.
On a busy weekday, traffic was stranded on the busy Strand Road which connects city to Howrah station.
