HC to hear Gautam Deb’s PIL

CPI(M) prime campaigner, Gautam Deb, got into more trouble as Calcutta high court decided to hear the PIL on his alleged housing quota scam on April 29. HT reports.

CPI(M) prime campaigner, Gautam Deb, got into more trouble as Calcutta high court decided to hear the PIL on his alleged housing quota scam on April 29. Hindustan Times had reported the issue on April 15, following which a PIL was filed with the high court on Tuesday.

“The case will be heard by the high court on April 29. We have filed a PIL against Gautam Deb’s, housing minister and the chairman of West Bengal Housing Board, distribution of apartments based on his special quota which does not have any legality,” said advocate Krishnendu Bhattacharjee, who filed the case on behalf of Timir Chakraborty.
