Police arrest notorious criminal from UP

A special team of anti-rowdy section of the Kolkata Police Detective Department held a notorius criminal Ullu Raju from UP.

A special team of anti-rowdy section of the Kolkata Police Detective Department has arrested a notorius criminal Ullu Raju alias Shabbir Alam from Rashid Nagar under Brahmapuri police station area of Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh.

Raju was wanted in at least three murder or attempt of murder cases and his area of operation was Howrah and South 24-Parganas district, Deputy Commissioner(I) Police, Detective Department, Gyanwant Singh, said.
The arrest was made on Saturday, acting on a tip-off.

Raju, a close associate of another notorious gang leader Gabbar (already in police net), was brought to Kolkata on Sunday and produced before a city court which remanded him to police custody till May 30, Singh added.
