The arrest took place at a spot near the West Bengal-Jharkhand border. Shukla will be produced in a juvenile court on Wednesday.
Shukla, a computer-savvy student of DAV School, an English-medium institution, in Jharkhand's Pakur district, was reportedly looking for excitement and this prompted to send two emails, using the ID chotoominani5@gmail.com, on September 8 and 9, Kolkata police sources said.
The emails threatened new explosions at public places within a few days, apart from claiming that the Kolkata-born terrorist outfit was responsible for the blast.
Earlier, when the Indian cricket team was losing to England in the test series, Shukla, 14, sent an email to the Board of Control for Cricket in India, demanding that MS Dhoni be replaced by Parthiv Patel as captain.
When that did not get the attention he expected, he sent the emails to the National Investigation Agency and a TV channel on the supposed Indian Mujahideen role.
