Two killed in accident in Howrah

Two persons were killed and five others were seriously injured when a Kanthi-bound private bus, lost control and mounted the pavement at Ranihati in Howrah district.

Two persons were killed and five others were seriously injured when a Kanthi-bound private bus, lost control and mounted the pavement at Ranihati in Howrah district on Thursday.

The bus mounted the pavement where hawkers were selling their wares killing two of them and injuring five others.

One of the dead hawkers was identified as Biswanath Pal.

The injured were taken to the Gabberia hospital and then shifted to the Medical College and Hospital.

Hospital sources said that the condition of four persons was serious.
