Vidya Balan promoted her upcoming film Jalsa in a sheer black saree worth ₹17k. The star proved why she is known as the queen of six yards with her elegant look.
Actor Vidya Balan is most comfortable and stylish in bespoke sarees. Maybe that is why she is often called the queen of six yards. From red carpet appearances to attending promotional events, the star has a steal-worthy saree for every occasion. Vidya, who is waiting for the release of her upcoming Amazon Prime thriller Jalsa with Shefali Shah, promoted her film dressed in a chic black saree and proved us right.
On Saturday, Vidya's stylists Pranay Jaitly and Shounak Amonkar took to Instagram to post pictures of the star serving elegant poses in her Jalsa promotional look. The 43-year-old actor showed off her black Chanderi saree in the shoot. Her all-black look is from the shelves of the size-inclusive and ethical clothing label, Turn Black. Scroll ahead to find out the price of Vidya's look and her photos.
Vidya Balan chose a ready-to-wear semi-sheer solid black saree for promoting Jalsa. It comes with rustic gold piping on the pallu, borders and the pleats, and pre-arranged pleats ready to be tucked in. She enhanced the lightweight and luxurious drape by teaming it with a full-sleeved blouse.
Vidya's blouse comes in a solid black shade and features quarter length sleeves, a plunging V neckline, and shawl lapel collars. She accessorised the saree and blouse set with a tan faux leather belt with double buckles, cinched on the torso just below the blouse to keep the floor-sweeping pallu of her six yards in place.
In the end, Vidya styled the drape by opting for minimal statement-worthy jewels. She wore ornate oval-shaped gold earrings and an emerald green ring. Side parted and sleeked back low ponytail, chocolate brown lip shade, subtle smoky eyes, mascara on the lashes, and dewy make-up completed the glam picks.
