Lok Sabha election 2019: In Bihar’s Valmiki Nagar, BJP holds the fort

Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 40 parliamentary constituencies in Bihar in eastern India. This constituency came into existence in 2008, following delimitation of the parliamentary constituencies based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002.

Valmiki Nagar parliamentary constituency is located in Pashchim Champaran district of Bihar. According to the estimates of the 2011 census, out of total 2,644,074 population, 92.04% is rural and 7.96% is urban population.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Parliamentary election was 61.8%.
