The Nanded Lok Sabha constituency is currently held by Congress leader and former chief minister of Maharashtra Ashok Chavan.
Chavan, who was the chief minister from December 2008 to November 2010, earlier also served as Minister for Cultural Affairs, Industries, Mines and Protocol in the Vilasrao Deshmukh government of the state.
In 2014, Chavan defeated DB Patil of the BJP by over 80, 000 votes.
