Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Sonakshi Sinha holds road show for mother in Lucknow
Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha held a road show for her mother Poonam Sinha, who is contesting as a Samajwadi Party candidate from the Lucknow Lok Sabha seat .
Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha on Friday held a road show for her mother Poonam Sinha, who is contesting as a Samajwadi Party candidate from the Lucknow Lok Sabha seat .
SP president Akhilesh Yadav’s wife and MP Dimple Yadav was also present in the road show.
Addressing the supporters Sonakshi said, “I am happy to be here. I appeal to you all to vote for my mother. She will live up to your expectations.” “I have come here to seek your votes as the daughter of a candidate from Lucknow and not as an actor.”
Poonam Sinha thanked the people for joining the road show in large numbers. “I thank my party for fielding me from Lucknow. I appeal to the people of Lucknow to vote for me,” she said.
During the road show, Sonakshi, Dimple Yadav and Poonam Sinha addressed the gathering at various places. At Lalbagh, Sonakshi Sinha said, “I am really happy to see the love and support she (Poonam) is getting here. I am sure she will take care of her constituency the way she takes care of her family members.”
Sonakshi also shouted “Poonam Sinha Zindabad” slogans.
Earlier, Dimple Yadav said the BJP governments at the Centre as well as state have stalled the development. “People are upset with the Modi-Yogi government. We have to vote them out of power,” she said.
DANGLING WIRES KEEP SECURITY MEN ON TOES
Security personnel were seen clearing dangling wires while Sonakshi, Dimple Yadav, Poonam and few others on the bus had to bow down to save themselves at several places.
At some places, Dimple and Sonakshi were also seen discussing the issue of dangling wires.
