Maya to present state budget on June 29

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the annual budget of the state for 2007-08 on June 29 in the assembly.
The month-long session of the house, which begins on Wednesday, will debate on the annual budget from July 3 and the Appropriation bill will be finally adopted in the House on July 27, according to a notification of the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat.
A total of 17 ordinances had been promulgated by Governor TV Rajeswar in the past and some of them might be replaced by bills during this session of the House, sources said.
