“ We will plant bombs in cinema halls... Modi must stop the movie’s release. If it doesn’t happen, I will kill the director of the movie Bhansali (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) with my own hands,” Bhadoriawas seen as saying in a video on Monday.

A day before, Bhuvneshwar Singh, another member of the group, had threatened to attackParliament and burn the Supreme Court.

Taking a tough stand, Bareilly police have registered an FIR against unidentified persons and charged them with sedition. “FIR has been registered at Kotwali police station under section 124A( Sedition), 506(Criminal intimidation) of IPC and relevant sections of IT Act,” said superintendent ofpolice of Bareilly Rohit Singh Sajwan adding the video in question had been sent to forensic lab to verify its authenticity.

GORAKHPUR PROTEST

At least half dozen Hindu organisations staged a joint protest against the movie’s release outside city ‘s SRS cinema on Monday. Carrying saffron flags and raising slogan against Bhansali, the protesters demanded ban on the screening of the movie and submitted a memorandum with DM’s office in this regard.
