Indian long jumper Murali Sreeshankar reflected on his silver medal performance at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, saying that while he was happy to finish on the podium, his ultimate goal had been to win gold for India. Sreeshankar admitted he was not fully satisfied with his performance, as he had hoped for a bigger jump to improve on the silver medal he won at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. Grateful for the opportunity to represent the country after overcoming a challenging two-year journey, the Indian track and field star thanked everyone who supported him through his comeback.
