State seems to have reached cusp of change

The government should take confidence-building measures, said Amrish Bakaya, VP corporate affairs for mobile and IT division of Samsung India Electronics.

"There must be sustainability in every policy and action. There are a lot of resources in the state. Even if it is not an easy task to change the face of the state, it can happen by working hand in hand," he said.

According to him, UP has huge manpower, accessibility to international airports like Delhi, enough land and infrastructure.

"It seems the state has reached the cusp of change now. We need to set up manufacturing units now," he said.

He added Samsung India with an investment of Rs. 1,000 crore in its unit in Noida currently, is looking at UP as a potential electronic manufacturing hub.
