Two commit suicides in Lucknow

Two persons, including a murder convict lodged in district jail, committed suicide here since last evening, police said on saturday.

Badri Prasad, who was sentenced to life imprisonment by a court in 2001 for killing his step mother, committed suicide in district jail on friday by hanging from the railing, they said.

Police claimed that Badri aged 44 years committed suicide, as he was terminally ill and was under severe depression.
In another incident a 62-year-old man committed suicide after allegedly being harassed by his landlord.

Rajendra Kumar Arora committed suicide at his Shivaji Marg residence on friday, police said.

A suicide note was recovered from the spot in which Arora had held his landlord and one builder responsible for his death.
