Yo've seen this one before: the routine Hollywood cat-and-mouse drill that recycles tested twists, wrapping the package with saleable brand names for some glitter.

Talking of brands, it's tough reckoning who the real 'stars' of

Perfect Stranger

are: the posters peddle Halle Berry and Bruce Willis, but Victoria's Secret and Reebok hog as much screen space. Give me commercial breaks on TV any day.

Indeed, it's a 'non-(de)script' idea: an investigative hack (Berry) discovers her friend's death may be linked to a powerful ad guru (Wais).

She dons a couple of guises to enter ad guru's world, only to stumble on a murky secret.

Between Berry's secret and Victoria's Secret, what you get is a bland thrmer Berry bland, actually
