3 men arrested for sexually assaulting teen rape survivor in Mumbai

Mumbai city news: The police said that the girl had lodged a rape complaint in 2013 against his cousin and another in 2015 against her step father’s father who was convicted and put in jail for 10 years.

A 15-year-old girl from Trombay who was raped by her step-father’s father in 2015, claimed that she was held captive for a day and sexually assaulted by four men on Wednesday.

According to the police, the girl received a call from her father’s friend who invited her for a tour of the city.

Around 2pm, she met the 32-year-old man and they took an auto to Vikhroli and caught a train to Kanjurmarg where she was held captive in a room. The police said that the room belonged to a friend of the main accused.

“They told her that they will kill her if she raised an alarm,” said an officer from Trombay police station.

While the girl was locked in the room, two more men arrived. They were all around 20 years old, claimed the girl.

She said that two of them were students while the third appeared to be an assistant of a make-up man.

They drank alcohol in the room and then took turns to rape her, she said.

They finally let her go around 2pm on Thursday after giving her painkillers. The girl told her parents about the incident and approached the police.

The men have been booked for kidnapping and rape under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
