Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday condemned the terror attack on Amarnath yatra pilgrims, which left two people from the state dead and three injured.

In a series of tweets, Fadnavis said the injured are under treatment at a hospital in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the state government was in touch with the Centre and J&K authorities.

“Maharashtra Govt has made arrangements for helicopter to bring back the mortal remains of 2 #AmarnathPilgrims to Dahanu from Surat,” he tweeted.

The two dead have been identified as Usha Sonar and Nirmala Thakur from Dahanu.
