Amid allegations of sexual assault of their son by school trustee, parents of the three-year-old claimed they have no complaint against the man.

The police approached the boy’s parents after a woman on May 18 alleged the school trustee raped her three-year-old daughter. She claimed the trustee sexually assaulted the boy too.

According to the woman, her daughter told her that she was taken to the trustee’s cabin with the boy. Before filing an FIR, the girl’s mother phoned the boy’s mother, who also complained of change in his behaviour.

However, an official from MIDC police station said the parents of the boy have refused to appear before the child welfare committee (CWC), saying they have no complaint against the trustee.

Meanwhile, the accused, who was on a foreign trip, returned to India on Monday. The police recorded his statement and will call him for round of questioning soon.

The man has not been arrested as there is no evidence against him, said police sources. While the alleged offence took place after Diwali, the FIR was registered in May.

The police have also recorded statements of a woman teacher, who allegedly took the girl to the trustee’s cabin.

The police said the investigations are on and the possibility of another man from the school being involved in the crime has not been ruled out.

The police said the school does not have CCTV surveillance. So far, they have recorded statements of more than 50 people.
