A 40-year-old constable attached to Kasarwadavli police station was feared to have drowned in the Gaymukh creek early on Friday.

team are yet to recover the body.
The constable, Bharat Rawate,40, slipped into the creek during a walk with his friends.
Parag Manere, deputy commissioner of Thane police crime, ruled out that Rawater committed suicide. “But we are talking to his friends and family members to know more about him.”
Deputy commissioner of Thane police- crime, Parag Manere said,”Its not a case of suicide but we are investigating his friends and also we will talk to his family members to know more about him. We are searching for him in creek
Regional Disaster management cell of Thane official said, “After being informed about the incident, we rushed to the spot. Because of the strong water currents, it was difficult to find the missing person. We are still working.”
A police constable from Kasarwadavli police station said, “We are still clueless as why he went to the spot.”
