Mumbai fire: Students from nearby school evacuated
The students had FYBcom examinations today, which had to be postponed.
Around 500 students of the HMW School and Junior College were evacuated and assembled at Pratiksha Nagar school, a civic run school, after a major fire broke out at Jogeshwari (West) on Friday. After the parents were informed, the students were allowed to go.

“We have informed the university about the mishap, and the new examination date will be decided by the university,” said Abdul Aziz Shaikh, principal of HMW School and Junior College. The college will reopen on Monday, Shaikh added.
Meanwhile Mumbai police officials said, “We have evacuated the whole area successfully. Fire fighting is on.”
The fire broke out at around 1pm at Furniture wala market area, Jogeshwari. No casualties were reported. Fire brigade officials said they have sent 12 fire engines and five fire tankers to the spot.
