Man attacked in Mumbai after he asks biker to move vehicle to free pedestrians’ path

The argument escalated soon, and in a fit of rage, the accused hurled a stone at the complainant.

A man was assaulted after he asked a biker to move his two-wheeler which was obstructing the path at Vikhroli on Wednesday. A police complaint has been registered against Santosh Satpute, 25.

The complainant, Pradeep Bapu Parab, 48, resident of Vikhroli (West), the pedestrians on the street were jostling for space to walk as the accused had parked his bike in a way that was obstructing the path. “The roads at Varsha Nagar are very narrow, and hence there was no space,” said Vilas Jadhav, senior police inspector, Parksite police station.

The two men got into an argument after Parab asked Satpute to move his bike.The argument escalated soon, and in a fit of rage, Satpute hurled a stone at Parab, who sustained a fracture on his arm. A case has been registered under sections 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) under the Indian penal code (IPC).
