Man gets crushed under local train at Thane station

The man got hit by a slow local train on platform 2 at Thane railway station at around 9.50 pm when he was tring to cross the tracks.

Thane: An 30-year-old man died after he was crushed under a local train at Thane on Thursday night.

As per the Thane railway station GRP report, the man got hit by a slow local train on platform 2 at Thane railway station at around 9.50 pm when he was tring to cross the tracks.

An accidental death report has been registered with the Thane GRP.

A police officer from Thane GRP said, “We have gone through the CCTV footage and it is seen that the man was running on the platform. We will also question the hawkers”.

“We are trying to ascertain the identity of the deceased person,” he added.
