Man sets wife on fire after argument, held
The victim, Yogita, 22, suffered 40% burns and was admitted to a hospital. The incident allegedly took place at the couple’s residence on Saturday.
The Vartak Nagar police station on Sunday arrested a 33-year-old man for allegedly setting his wife on fire after she checked his phone. The accused has been identified as Babasaheb Gubare, who works as a driver.

The incident allegedly took place at the couple’s residence on Saturday.
“After having dinner, Gubare received a call from a woman. Yogita questioned him about the woman and the two got into an argument. In a fit of rage, he poured kerosene on her and set her on fire,” said a police officer.
According to police, Gubare was in a relationship with another woman and even had a 11-year-old son with her. Yogita had known about the affair and asked him not to meet her.
