Minor raped by her 19-year-old relative in Navi Mumbai

The neighbour saw him take her into his house.

A 4-year-old was raped by her 19-year-old relative in Uran on Tuesday. Nagraj Mazge, senior police inspector, Uran police station, said, “The accused is the victim’s relative and lived in the house next to hers. The girl’s mother was at the market when the incident took place around 5pm.”

“As per a neighbour’s account, the girl was playing outside the house when the accused took her to his house, where he assaulted and raped her,” he said. “He then strangulated her and hid her under the mattress.”

The family members, who were searching for the girl, found her at the teen’s house.The accused then fled the spot, but was later tracked by the police. A case was registered the same night. The victim was admitted to JJ Hospital and is now in stable condition.
