Missing siblings from Bandra found in Surat
A boy and his sister, aged seven and four, who had gone missing from their residence in Bandra East on Friday last week have been traced to Surat, Gujarat and are being brought back home safely by Kherwadi police team on Wednesday
A boy and his sister, aged seven and four, who had gone missing from their residence in Bandra East on Friday last week have been traced to Surat, Gujarat and are being brought back home safely by Kherwadi police team on Wednesday.

The brother-sister duo are residents of Sant Nyaneshwar Nagar in Bandra East. They went missing around 10am on Friday morning.
According to police, they were playing near their mother’s house, which is near Bandra Terminus. While playing, they got into the train and the train started. They didn’t get down and slept inside. They got down at Surat.
Their mother didn’t approach the police for two days. On Sunday, she went to Kherwadi police station and according to the Supreme Court’s guidelines, the Kherwadi police immediately registered a FIR under section 363 of the IPC for kidnapping.
A team from a special cell of Kherwadi police made to look into cases of missing minors was investigating the case. A special cell has been formed in all police stations in Mumbai for investigating such cases with top priority.
A resident of Surat spotted them and alerted the police who took them to a children’s shelter home.
The boy then gave details about his home after which the local police contacted Mumbai Police and they exchanged their photos on WhatsApp to confirm their identities. A team from Kherwadi police is on their way back to Mumbai with the kids.
