“Employees received bonus last year, but this time nothing has been stated yet. If they do not receive bonus by October 20 then we will go on a strike.” said Shashank Rao, president of BEST workers’ union. In a BEST committee meeting held recently, all members supported employees’ demand for a bonus. However, the management was reluctant to implement owing to fund crunch. Anil Kokil, chairperson of the BEST committee, said, “I will meet the mayor to discuss the issue on Friday.”
