1 hurt as Land Rover rams into another car on WEH

SUV driver fled the spot after the incident. Efforts are on to trace the owner and the driver.

A 28-year-old man was injuries after the car he was driving was hit by a Land Rover on the Western Express Highway (WEH) in Andheri (East) on Thursday morning.

Andheri police said the incident took place at T junction following which Naaz Shaikh, 24, who was driving the Land Rover, fled the spot. Shaikh was arrested and booked under relevant sections of the India Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act for rash driving and fleeing the spot without rendering help to the injured. His blood samples were sent to the laboratory to ascertain whether he was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Cops added that Rajkumar Patel, who was injured in the accident, is out of danger.
