Two sub-tenants kill tenant when asked to vacate place in Mumbai
Kharva without informing the real estate agent, who got him the place, had rented out the upper floor to the two accused four months back
A 30-year-old man, who was living as a tenant in a chawl, was allegedly murdered by his sub-tenants after he asked them to vacate the room in Goregaon east on Monday night. The police said the deceased was not returning the deposit paid by the sub-tenants which led them into a fight.

According to Dindoshi police, the incident took place at around 9 pm in Sharma compound, Santosh Nagar on Film City Road. The deceased Savan Kharva and his wife Bhavna used to live in single-storied structure on rent.
Kharva without informing the real estate agent, who got him the place,had rented out the upper floor to the two accused four months back.
When the agent learnt about this, he asked Kharva to throw them out. When Kharva tried to get them out on Monday night the duo started demanding their deposit of few thousand rupees which led to a physical fight.
The fight broke out at around 9pm when in a fit of rage the duo hit Kharva and one of them bashed his head against an iron grill multiple times. Kharva died of head injuries and his wife, who deals in old clothes, complaint against them.
